Tea Time Alarm och rymdraketer

Mer om tea-time alarm

Translation:

Musk’s rocket has now rescued a group of stranded astronauts. The American media followed the launch of the SpaceX rescue rocket (which succeeded on its second attempt) with great admiration. Apparently, the rocket carries a rescue pod that can release the astronauts in an emergency and bring them to safety. Such systems didn’t exist in the past, as a former astronaut explained in a TV program.

However, one might wonder how the so-called genius Musk can execute a rescue mission for a handful of people he sends into space, while seemingly unable to provide a soft landing for the thousands of government workers being laid off? It appears his expertise has its limits and his perspective is narrow—you shouldn’t just look up, but also ahead.

In England, the so-called Tea-Time Alarm has apparently become a social media sensation. Americans are baffled by this new alarm, which rings at tea time and forces all citizens to immediately drink a cup of hot tea. It seems like yet another example of an “internal threat,” which now appears to be the official U.S. perception of Europe. Traditions are all well and good, but such an obligation might be a step too far—especially considering that people reportedly face penalties if they refuse their cup of tea.
